Refunds: How They Work and When to Expect Them

Understand how refunds are processed in Velocty and when to expect them in your account.

Processing a refund through Velocty is designed to be transparent and straightforward. This guide explains the refund process, timelines, and what to do if you have questions about a refund.

When Are Refunds Issued?

Refunds are typically issued in the following scenarios:

  • Overcharges: If you've been billed more than expected.
  • Canceled Services: When you cancel a service that qualifies for a refund.
  • Disputes Resolved in Your Favor: For cases where Swyft determines a refund is appropriate.

How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method used for the transaction. Depending on your bank or payment provider, the processing time may vary.

Step 1: Check Your Refund Eligibility

  1. Go to the Billing section in your Velocty dashboard.
  2. Review the transaction in question.
  3. Confirm whether the transaction is eligible for a refund based on Swyft’s refund policy.

Step 2: Request a Refund

  1. In the Billing section, locate the transaction.
  2. Click Request Refund next to the eligible transaction.
  3. Provide a brief explanation for the refund request, if prompted.
  4. Submit your request.

Step 3: Refund Approval

  • Instant Approval: Some refunds are processed immediately if they meet auto-approval criteria.
  • Manual Review: For other cases, Swyft’s team may need to review your request. This typically takes 1-3 business days.

Step 4: Refund Processing Time

Once approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method. Estimated timelines:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-7 business days, depending on your bank.
  • PayPal or Digital Wallets: 3-5 business days.
  • Bank Transfers: Up to 10 business days.
