What to Do If Your Payment Fails

Experiencing a payment failure while using Velocty can be frustrating, but resolving it is often simple. This guide will help you identify the cause of the issue and provide steps to get your payment processed successfully.

Common Reasons for Payment Failures

Before diving into solutions, it’s helpful to understand why payments fail. Common reasons include:

  • Insufficient Funds: Ensure your account balance covers the payment amount.
  • Card Expiry: Check if your card is still valid.
  • Bank Declines: Some banks may block unfamiliar transactions for security reasons.
  • Incorrect Details: Double-check the card number, expiration date, and CVV.

Step 1: Verify Your Payment Details

  1. Go to the Billing section in your Velocty dashboard.
  2. Review the payment information associated with your account.
    • Ensure your card number, expiration date, and CVV are correct.
    • Confirm the billing address matches the one on file with your bank.

Step 2: Contact Your Bank

If your payment details are correct and the issue persists, contact your bank to:

  • Confirm that there are no blocks or restrictions on your card.
  • Verify that the transaction is authorized.
  • Ensure your account has sufficient funds for the payment.

Step 3: Retry the Payment

  1. In your Velocty dashboard, navigate to the Billing section.
  2. Locate the failed transaction and click Retry Payment.
  3. Follow the prompts to process the payment again.

Step 4: Update Payment Method

If retrying the payment doesn’t work, you may need to update your payment method:

  1. Go to the Billing section in your Velocty dashboard.
  2. Select Payment Methods and click Add New Payment Method.
  3. Enter the details of a different card or payment method.
  4. Set it as your default payment method and retry the payment.
